Domino Effect
The term refers to the belief that an effective job search process consists of the job seeker taking five important steps and if any of those steps is ignored or conducted poorly, the other pieces of this domino fall and the job search is compromised. The five steps a job search should consist of are: marketing preparation, dynamic cover letter, excellent resume, strong interview skills, and timely follow-up.
