Internship

by Stephanie Blye

The term refers to a type of work experience an entry-level job seeker can get in order to make up for the lack of experience. Due to the fact that the majority of employers are looking for people with experience, an internship would secure you with the theoretical and practical knowledge you need to work in a certain domain. Sometimes, having or not having done an internship inside a company could establish whether you got a job or not. If you're still in school, you can have the internship during a semester or even over the summer. The most important thing is to work in your expected career field, so that you make every minute spent in an organization useful to your future career. Apart from gaining extremely valuable experience, during the internship you are also being exposed to the real business environment and, why not, you could be gaining valuable references and network

contacts.
