The term refers to a short but clear letter in which the conditions of employment are outlined. The letter of agreement can be initiated by both employer and candidate and it is always a good thing to have, as you get your entire offer in writing. At times, the letter of agreement takes a basic form or the form of an employment contract, depending on its complexity.
