by Stephanie Blye

The term refers to the act of building a wide list of contacts and encouraging them assist you in your job search. These contacts represent people you have met in various social, professional and business circumstances, people who in their turn have contacts which may be able to offer you job leads, advice or information about vacant positions in a certain company or industry, introduce you to other people or even offer you a job.
