Resignation
In the simplest words, resignation is the act of quitting a job. You resign when you leave your job, the initiative of quitting being a personal decision (as opposed to "termination") independent of the will of the employer. However, you announce your resignation via a letter of resignation which you give to your employer, in which you must specify your intention to leave your position vacant starting with a specific date.
You have the right not to specify the reasons for which you resign.
Be aware of the fact that a letter of resignation represents a document having a legal status.
The notice period is the number of days you must remain on the position since handling your letter of resignation. This period is specified in your contract.
