|
|
Hi,
I'm going to tell you about my experience at my first (and only up to now) interview. I've been interviewed by a Chinese as well (Chinese company) and in the end, I asked him : "what are this position perspectives ? What is the career evolution?" He started laughing and did not answer....
I've nothing against Chinese people or people of other nationalities, but I found that quite rude.
Can I someone explain to me please? What happened?
Thanks |

| Ok...it's their usual behavior to be serious about the terms they have established and his laughing at you might have been just a mocking thing, showing you he's been offended by your question. You should have read the terms, maybe he specified the salary clearly. Besides, he might interpret your request as being rude. As in...she didn;t even finish the interview and she's asking for a promotion. (implicitly) |

| Nah...he just didn't like your attitude. You could have found some other topics of discussion, taking into account he's Chinese and Chinese are more conservatory and like employees to be submissive. Anyway....did you or didn't you get that job? |

Did...but the funny thing is that I never say the Chinese guy after and I've been working in there for 6 months now....cool, ha?
Anyway, conservatory or not, I think my attitude was not offesive at all, it's his problem. |
