Hi there,

I was wondering if this is to informal/short if I am looking for a job at the local pub...I'm looking for a part time.

"I am looking for any waitress job openings at the newly refurbished Anchor Inn, due to be opened in November 2007. Should there be any postings available, I would love to be able to forward my CV to you. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards,
Courtney"

What do you think?

Oh, no, you didn't do that!

This is not the way in which a letter of inquiry should appear! First, you have written it as if you addressed it to some friend of yours..."Hey , pal, should you have an opening, please let me know, here's my number". There are some rules of how to build a decent cover letter Wink There you go!

Good luck now....was I late Very Happy

That was funny and could have been a successful letter of inquiry if the people at the pub would have been open minded!

I don't deny you that, PP, but we're here to offer people the appropriate solution. I'm sure they would have done just fine otherwise, should they not ask for our opinion, right?

That "any waitress job openings" sounded so desperate it wouldn't have helped courtney at all!
