Hi there,
I really need you guys to help me out here. The first thing on my CV, the career objective. Some say I should have one, some say I should not. Now I have one, but some say it is too general. How on earth could one build a resume career objective that is good? Actually....how does a good career objective look like? See mine says:
"Administrative Clerk looking for a challenging position as an administrative assistant at a growth-oriented firm, which will allow me to both further utilize my skills and acquire new abilities."
can I do better than this?

Your career objective sounds general because you don't use the right words. If you mention the company, if you leave "a", "an" aside and you put "the" or some specific article, if you insert some keywords which are related to the job and the organization.
And yes, you should have a career objective for the employer to see what you're after, to see you have initiative, to see you're determined. |
