Can we really talk about a career when thinking about working teenagers? Is it even "healthy" to start building a career when you're under 18, even under 16? I think that education is very important and I really really doubt a teenager can do both things at a high level of efficiency.
Isn't there "a time for everything?" Just want to know others' opinion because I always get criticism when I advise teens to go to school first and then think about building a career. |

I've been working since I was 16. In the US teenagers start working even earlier. I see nothing wrong with that. As a matter of fact, people who start working as teenagers (over 14) become more mature, more responsible, they build themselves a personality faster and become more productive in the future.
Sure, education is important. You'll always be asked for a degree if you want a good position. |

I started working only I have gotten my associates degree but I have observed that teenagers start working from aroun 14, even 13. I don't think it's called a career though. You have a career when you are prepared both from an educational pov and a professional one. Besides, career implies great accomplishments, a good salary, satisfactory environment and so on and so forth.
Maybe a career in modeling. They start early |
