Hello people,
My situation: I interviewed with six different people during a 3-hour long interview. Should I send different thank you emails to all of them in this case? Or is it acceptable to send the same one to each one? You know...saving time and energy... |

sarah lee,
You should send a letter to each interviewer and if possible and if you remember include something specific they might have said during the process in order to show you not only have listening skills, but you were interested in what each party had to say.
Good luck! |

Well, if you're lazy you can actually build one and then tailor it taking into account each interviewer's let's say...specific. Don't send the same letter to all the interviewers because they are discussing together the candidates' performances even after the interview so...you might have unpleasant surprises. |

Oh....don't do thaaat. It will look cheap and "made-in-a-hurry"/expediting. "Yeah, ok, thanks for interviewing me fellas, I would love to work with you. Bye now. If you didn't get this, read it from your colleague" )
Anyway....general but personalized in what extent? |

Ok, people...you have proven your points. Thank you for answering this. It really helped me out.
I took Lory's advice and made a general thank you letter from a template I found on the internet and I tailored it so it corresponds to each interviewer. I GOT 2 "YOU'RE WELCOME"S BACK!!!
PS: I'm not lazy ( actually I am a little, aren't we all?). I just didn't see the use of it. Thanks again! |
