Hi again,
Ok so due to the fact that I'm in my last year of high-school, I'm a little concerned about what degree to choose for my college. I mean I know what I want to do, I would like to follow and BA in Arts but my parents tell me this might not be a good idea for the future...not too many available jobs, not too good of a salary in the domain.
What degree do you think I should be choosing? Would it be a mistake to go for Arts? |

Jey, Jeepers,
Really...the parents' opinion is good to be taken into account but not necessarily to be applied I always did things in this way and I'm fine now, DOING WHAT I LIKE. Because ultimately, it is all about being productive and efficient at doing what you like. Right? So go for arts if you feel you're made for a domain like that. After college, you can take an MBA in a different domain if you want to expand your chances.
Good luck! Trust your feelings! |

I say go forward with what you like. If you fail, you won't regret it that much than if you would not choose the domain and fail in the other one, regretting not trying the first one
Anyways, my opinions is that you can't go wrong with following dreams or passions because you are more dedicated to them than to some ordinary, sure-to-get-a-job-from domain.
I'm sure you understand what I mean |

| OMG!!! Don't even think about doing what your parents tell you when it comes to your college degree. You'll be stating your college degree every time you'll apply for a job so think well!!!You must be proud of the title and you must also find it useful. |

| Sometimes, parents know better because they already have the experience of life. Unfortunately, they forget about the evolution of things and they forget that some domains have raised and have become very productive. Do arts because you can go in so many places after finishing college. Think about the advertising, image and sound production, photography and so on. Better fail on your skin than on your parents' |

Thanks, guys, thanks for the replies. I already knew what everybody was going to say "Screw parents" LOL. I just needed to convince me I am not totally wrong about this. If I feel like Arts are for me, I must at least try it out.
Thanks again....It's harder to take final decisions at this age |

| yes, it is hard to take decisions at a certain age but think that if you do somethink you really like you can have some amaising results and you can have better results than when you do something you don't enjoy. If you do something that you like opportunities will come and so will money |
