| I know I'm only 15 and my experience might be irrelevant, but I've never used a cover letter when applying for a job. I've had two part-time jobs up to now. If I hand in the CV isn't this enough? |

A cover letter is always useful. Actually, I think you didn't need one because you went for the part-time jobs. Usually, you should have a cover letter accompanying your CV because it gives the employer a full image about you. Besides it is a good occasion to develop on a targeted position, enhancing your best assets.
You'll see you're going to need one later on.
Take care |

Hey, Jeepers. Without no doubt, your CV needs to be accompanied by a cover letter anytime you apply for a new job - that if you want the employer to consider you a serious candidate. Think of it as an introduction to your CV; it needs to contain information like where you learned about the job, your interest in it, and why should the employer pick you (also said as why should the employer 'lose' his/her time to even look further at your résumé). Hope that helps. One advice: start early to work on it because it takes more time than you think (don't rely on composing a good cover letter the day it's due).
Best of luck,

I would never apply without a cover letter. It's like walking in one leg The cover letter is your chance to show the employer who you really are as a person as well.
Nice to meet you guys! |
