This happens to be something that we're not accustomed with in the UK and I've yet had time to really form an opinion about it. We have various anti-discrimination laws that would be applicable I suppose but none specific to some job applications as far as I know.
I've had interviews and I've had interview questions which sounded so discriminating that I had to get up and leave the room. What do you think a couple of "illegal" interview questions are?
Me, for example, would take "How many children do you have" as being illegal. |

| Well....how many kids do you have is not that illegal an I will also tell you why. You get compensations from taxes if you have children so....But you are right in some extent because having children can become discriminatory in the case in which an employer wouldn't like to offer these benefits to his employees. |
