Try Other Ways Of Finding A Job

by Stephanie Blye

If you have the impression there is nothing wrong with your CV and yet it is being rejected by recruiters, it's time for you to try other ways of letting potential employers know you are in search of a job!

1. Use your contact network

Networking is a good way of finding out about available jobs on the hidden job market and it is a good way of letting people know you intend to have a career change. Contact people that work in your domain, speak to your friends and register to various online social networks. Be ready to prove your abilities and your experience in a CV to which you attach a good recommendation from one of your former employers.

2. Create your own blog

Many job seekers have landed interviews after posting their Cvs and portfolios on their personal blogs. It is a good way of making people come to you, especially if you want to work in a creative department, because you can display your work and let it speak for itself.
In this way, not only do you help yourself but you also help the recruiters, by making their job a little bit easier when you offer them concise documents proving your abilities and competencies. Your chances of landing an interview sooner than you might think are definitely increased.
